A Little Help From Her Friends

State Sen. Regina Thomas, challenging Congressman John Barrow for the Democratic nomination in the 12th District received an unlikely endorsement (or at least nod of encouragement) in today's Savannah Morning News.  Fellow Savannah state Senator Eric Johnson, a Republican, pens a tribute to their shared time together under the Gold Dome and wishes her the best of luck as a "partisan, conservative Republican."  Democratic and Republican strategists view Barrow as a heavy general election favorite, but feel the seat would be a true toss up with Thomas as the nominee.  The primary is July 15.
