Freshly posted campaign contribution reports show what could develop as an interesting pattern of giving by a top Republican state legislator.  Sen. Eric Johnson, the Savannah Republican who is President of the state Senate gave $4,600 to Cobb County Democratic House member Alisha Thomas Morgan in the past three months.  Johnson's contributions, from his campaign account, make up over 56% of her reported total this quarter.  She has no primary opposition and is heavily favored to retain the solidly Democratic district in the general election against an underfunded Republican.
